Sweet, sweet girl. I say that to you at least once a day. Sweet is the best way to describe you. You continue to be such a super baby. You are starting to become even more active, flailing your arms and legs in circles, as if you’re swimming, and while your neck is still a little floppy, you’re getting stronger and stronger.
This week, you’ll get your vaccinations, and when that happens, I’ll feel a lot better about taking you out and about. I love babywearing you (so does your Daddy!) so we’ll probably keep you close, but being able to get to a really normal routine will be awesome.
You also went to the dermatologist last week to talk about your little birthmark — you were such a rockstar! We’ve decided to take a pretty conservative approach with a topical treatment, and it’s already making a difference. You are so gorgeous, kid. I’m so proud to be your mama.
One of my favorite things to do with you and your sister each week is go to the beach. I spent almost every week of my pregnancy at the beach, so it’s amazing to be able to bring you back and have you on the outside! The white noise of the waves crashing seems to put you right to sleep.
Speaking of sleeping, you are still a little fussy at bedtime. I’ve started nursing you and then letting you fall asleep in the bed right next to me. Because transferring you to your crib seems to wake you up, no matter what I do, I’ve let you co-sleep with us a few nights and I have to admit…I love it! I am very careful to make sure that you’re safe, but being able to respond to your middle-of-the-night nursing needs right away seems to be making a big difference for both of us. Plus, I love seeing your chest rise and fall just a few inches from my face. It’s reassuring.
Happy two months, kid. We love you more than I can say.
