Merry first Christmas! You gave us quite a gift…SMILES SMILES SMILES, all week long! It’s become a game in our house — who can make Remy smile the fastest? Your sister is currently at the top of the leaderboard, and frankly…you love everything she does. The feeling is mutual. You pull her hair, kick her when she’s adjusting your blanket and even spit up on her and all she does is grin at you.
She’s also my little mini-mama. “Mommy, I think she need a new diaper. Mommy, I think she still hungry. Mommy, isn’t Remy the prettiest baby ever?” I know that soon enough, you two will drive each other crazy but for now…it’s heavenly watching you together.
This week marked a lot of new activity for you. I think you finally discovered that since you’re no longer in the womb, you have lots of room to move around. You flair your arms and legs as if you’re swimming on your back — which reminds me; I need to get you into some baby swimming classes!
You still love to sleep. You’re staying asleep for longer stretches at night and once this week, I even got seven straight hours!
And thanks to all of your eating, I’m seeing your face fill out. You absolutely look more like your Daddy than like me, but you’re transitioning from floppy newborn to alert, unique baby Remy.
Or should I say, Remedy? We call you that more than any other nickname at the moment. Audrey still mostly calls you Remmer or Remerton, but Daddy and I have transitioned to Remedy. We’ll see what new names we come up with this week!
Love you, Bug.
