You are amazingly happy, my love. Sure, you have some rough moments — what baby doesn’t? — but I’m constantly shocked at how content and docile you are.
That is starting to change, at least when I try to put you down in your Rock ‘n’ Play or swing. I don’t know if it’s being on your back that you dislike so much, or you’re just needing more interaction and activity, but you much prefer to be in my arms or my lap. It makes working a bit more challenging, but I love that I get to have you close.
Nights are still hit or miss. Sometimes, you sleep right through. And just as I let myself get excited, you surprise me with a party that keeps us both up for hours. I have started putting you in the swaddle again and that seems to be making a big difference.
The weather took a cold, nasty turn in the last few weeks so we haven’t been walking as much — but things are looking sunny again, so I’m hoping we can go back to picking your big sister up from school. It’s such a fun bonding time for me with my girls.
You’re almost three months old. Where has the time gone?
