Sweet, funny baby. You sure love to laugh! Your face goes from super serious to absolute joy so quickly that we really all have made it our mission to dance and make faces and do whatever it takes to make you smile. For some reason, you think it’s absolutely hysterical when I make kissy noises so I do it all day, every day.
You had your two-month check-up this week and you are strong and healthy and happy, my love! You are also BIG, just like your sister was: in the 95th percentile for height and weight. I know you’re getting heavier because my arms ache after I carry you around — thank goodness you like your carriers and slings!
You are starting to interact with toys more, which is fascinating to watch. You have a soft, flat Panda toy that you bring to your face and stare at. And if I wrap your fingers around a small rattle, you hold on to it and even shake it around.
It’s been pretty chilly for the last few weeks which means you’re wearing footie pajamas almost every day. I’ve stopped putting you in your swaddle at night, and you have a little dance party in your crib. OK, who am I kidding…most nights I end up bringing you into my bed to help you settle down. Your daddy and I love waking up and watching you sleep. Even your big sister piles in with us (and she’s almost always careful around you — there have only been a few moments that had me holding my breath!).
We love you so much. You’re starting to look more like a person. More like YOU. I can’t wait to learn who you are, and what you like, and what makes you happy. You sure make me happy.
