Oh, my sweet, happy girl…I so want to live up to the person you think I am today. The woman who will never let you down. The one that will protect you from all harm. The one who will always be around.
The older you get, the more I get to know you. I hope that you are always so quick to smile and so content in my arms.
You are officially out of newborn clothes, and that made Mommy a little sad. You’re also becoming more interactive — you watch your mobile go ’round and ’round when we put you in your swing, you cringe at dog barks and you love (LOVE) your new Wubbanub pacifier holder. It’s the only toy you seem to want to play with, but you stroke it and squeeze it until you finally close your eyes.
You like it much better than tummy time, but I insist we do it every day. Gotta work on those neck muscles, love!
Daddy is your hero, I think. You like me but you really do love him — it scares Mommy a little when he takes you off-roading during our nightly stroller walks, but you giggle and throw up your hands like you’re on a roller coaster. Will you be a daredevil? Mommy was, at least before she had you. You even went roller coaster riding before Mommy knew you were growing inside her!
We’re both a little sick of being cooped up in the house, so I can’t wait to start taking you out more often in a week or two. Mommy’s group has been fantastic, but it’s time to spread our wings!
We love you, our love Bug.
