What a month of development!
(Well, except when it comes to teeth. There’s still nothing there!)
The funny thing about watching you is that there’s no learning curve…it’s a 90-degree angle. One day, you didn’t stand up — the next day, you did.
One day, you didn’t wave — the next day, you waved at anything that moved. One day, you didn’t give hugs — the next day, you started squeezing us like you’d never let go.
The standing is a game changer, perhaps even more than crawling. With crawling, you were mobile but with standing, you’re mobile in multiple directions. You love to pull yourself up on things — your crib, my leg, the wall…
You still love the cats and dogs, and squeal with delight every time you see them. We’re working on learning the word gentle, because you tend to pull their hair (just like you do mine).
You also love getting into their water and food bowls, which has made Mommy and Daddy a little crazy trying to prevent you from dunking your face.
Speaking of dunking…I mentioned you were a water baby? Well, the pool is your absolute favorite place to be. You splish and splash and kick and try to jump out of my arms. I can’t wait to take you back to the beach soon!
Your other favorite outdoor activity? Running! You and I hit the roads at least once a week, knocking out a few miles with the stroller. I’m so glad that you like it (I hear “squeeeeee!” from your seat as we fly) because it’s something I hope you’ll do with me some day for real.
Daddy and Audie. Peas in a pod. You two make me smile every single day.
And speaking of peas…you love those, too.
I love you, my precious Baby Bug.
